What is Lipid Profile Extended?
The extended lipid profile, tests the lipoprotein (a) and apolipoproteins A1 & B. It also includes other tests of the lipid profile which are VLDL Cholesterol, Cholesterol, Triglycerides, HDL Cholesterol and LDL Cholesterol. High levels of lipoprotein are significant in patients with stroke or premature coronary heart disease or cerebrovascular and peripheral vascular disease.
