Frequently asked questions about Rinclox L Products

Frequently asked questions about Rinclox L Products

Q. Why has my child been prescribed Rinclox L Tablet?
Rinclox L Tablet contains two active antibiotics and one probiotic. Giving a combination of two antibiotics increases the efficiency of the medicine and helps in killing the resistant bacteria. The addition of probiotics helps reduce the side effects, such as diarrhea, which can occur due to the prolonged intake of antibiotics.
Q. Can I give Rinclox L Tablet to my child repeatedly for a long time?
Giving your child Rinclox L Tablet for a long-term can cause fungal infection (oral thrush) in the mouth and severe gastrointestinal infections (superinfections). Therefore, do not alter the dose and duration on your own and give Rinclox L Tablet to your child exactly as prescribed. Additionally, irregular treatment, repeated use, and misuse of Rinclox L Tablet can make the bacteria resistant.
Q. Are there any possible serious side effects of Rinclox L Tablet?
Although rare, Rinclox L Tablet may cause some serious side effects such as persistent vomiting, kidney damage, allergy, diarrhea, and severe gastrointestinal infections. Always consult your child’s doctor for help in such a situation.

Rinclox L Tablet can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Inform your doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting Rinclox L Tablet.
Q. Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Rinclox L Tablet?
Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they fully recover from the illness. Post recovery from illness, the child can take the vaccine after consulting the doctor.
Q. The mucus coming out of my child’s nose is yellow-green. Is it a sign of a bacterial infection?
In conditions like the common cold, the mucus changes its color and thickens up with time, but this does not mean that your child needs antibiotics. Common cold symptoms often last for 7-10 days. In case they fail to clear up within this duration, reach out to your child’s doctor for guidance.
