Chlorhexidine Gluconate + Metronidazole is a combination of two medicines: Chlorhexidine Gluconate + Metronidazole1 and Chlorhexidine Gluconate + Metronidazole2. Chlorhexidine Gluconate + Metronidazole1 is an antiseptic and disinfectant. It works by binding to the surface of teeth, inner cheeks and gums. This kills the infectious microorganisms that cause gum disease, tartar and other mouth infections. Chlorhexidine Gluconate + Metronidazole2 is an antibiotic which kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging the DNA.
