Q. How many times should I apply Besivance Opthalmic Suspension in a day?
Ideally, you should use the drops regularly, 3 times a day for 7 days or as prescribed by your doctor.
Q. How long does Besivance Opthalmic Suspension take to work?
Besivance Opthalmic Suspension starts working as early as 3 days. The itching and discharge (if any) are the first ones to get better. Pain and soreness may take a little longer to resolve, as long as 7 days. But, if it takes longer, or if your symptoms do not subside or get worse, please consult your doctor immediately.
Q. Is Besivance Opthalmic Suspension safe to use for a long time?
Besivance Opthalmic Suspension should not be used for more than 7 days unless your doctor tells you to. Due to prolonged use, the bacterial infection may become resistant to Besivance Opthalmic Suspension which means it will no longer work properly. Please talk to your doctor if you do not see any improvement in your symptoms. He/she may change the dose or probably prescribe a different medicine.
Q. How is Besivance Opthalmic Suspension used?
Wash your hands thoroughly prior to using Besivance Opthalmic Suspension. Invert closed bottle (upside down) and shake once before each use. Remove cap with bottle still in the inverted position. Tilt head back, and with bottle inverted, gently squeeze bottle to instill one drop into the affected eye(s). Close your eyes for at least 2-3 minutes so that the medicine does not drain out of the eye(s).
Q. Can I use Besivance Opthalmic Suspension with contact lenses?
No, you should remove your contact lenses before instilling Besivance Opthalmic Suspension. You can re-insert the lens 15 minutes after using Besivance Opthalmic Suspension. Contact your doctor if there is any eye irritation that persists.
Q. Can I use any other eye drop along with Besivance Opthalmic Suspension?
Always consult your doctor before using any other eye drops along with Besivance Opthalmic Suspension. It is advisable to give a gap of atleast 10-15 minutes between the two medications.

You should contact your doctor immediately if you develop eye pain, severe eye irritation, and redness. Also, you should inform the doctor if you have an eye injury or eye surgery. Discuss with your doctor if you have to continue using Besivance Opthalmic Suspension.

Use of Besivance Opthalmic Suspension should be avoided in patients who are allergic to it or any of its components. However, if you are not aware of any allergy or if you are using this medicine for the first time, consult your doctor.

Yes, when you instill the eye drops for the first time, it can make your eyes watery and may cause a slight burning sensation. If this happens, it will subside quickly. Inform your doctor if discomfort continues for a longer period of time.

You do not need to refrigerate Besivance Opthalmic Suspension after opening the bottle. However, store it in a cool place and below 30℃. Make sure to use it within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
