This test is prescribed by the doctor to find out presence of any spreading lesion or cancer in the collarbone or chest wall region and to diagnose degenerative diseases or trauma conditions like sternum fractures.

- To diagnose degenerative diseases or trauma conditions like sternum fractures/steroclavicular dislocation
- To detect congenital abnormalities like sternal foramen, tilted collar bone, pectus carinatum (known as pigeon’s chest characterized by malformation of the chest by protruded collar bone and ribs)
- To find out presence of any spreading lesion or cancer/cyst in the collarbone or chest wall region
