If this infection is not treated, it can lead to severe liver damage, which can cause other life-threatening problems, such as liver failure, or may also be fatal.

Kidney

Tenfoliv-AF Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tenfoliv-AF Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Tenfoliv-AF Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Tenfoliv-AF Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
What if you forget to take Tenfoliv-AF Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Tenfoliv-AF Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Does Tenfoliv-AF Tablet prevent passing of HIV-1 and HBV to others?
In case of HIV-1 infection, Tenfoliv-AF Tablet may reduce the risk of passing the virus to others, but the chances of infecting others still persist. However, in case of HBV infection, Tenfoliv-AF Tablet has not proven to reduce risk of transferring the virus to others. Therefore, the patients of both HIV-1 infection and HBV infection should practice safe sex and should not share dirty needles.
Is Tenfoliv-AF Tablet safe?
Tenfoliv-AF Tablet is safe if used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Take it exactly as directed and do not skip any dose. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully and let your doctor know if any of the side effects bother you.
How should I take Tenfoliv-AF Tablet?
You should take Tenfoliv-AF Tablet in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Tenfoliv-AF Tablet works best when taken with meals or just afterwards. However, taking it without food does not reduce its effectiveness. If you have any doubts, consult your doctor.
For how long do I need to take Tenfoliv-AF Tablet for HBV infection?
Duration of treatment will depend on the severity of HBV infection. You will need to take periodic blood tests to keep a check on the viral load and number of T cells. Your doctor will then decide the duration of the medicine accordingly. In some cases, treatment is required life long.
I vomited after taking Tenfoliv-AF Tablet. What should I do?
If vomiting occurs within 1 hour of taking Tenfoliv-AF Tablet then you should take another tablet. However, if you vomit after more than an hour of taking Tenfoliv-AF Tablet then you need not take another tablet. Consult your doctor if you have vomiting every time you take Tenfoliv-AF Tablet or if the vomiting persists for a longer duration.
What should I do if I forget to take Tenfoliv-AF Tablet?
If you forget to take Tenfoliv-AF Tablet within 12 hours of the time you usually take it, take Tenfoliv-AF Tablet with food as soon as possible and resume the normal dosing schedule. However, if it had been more than 12 hours since you have taken the medicine and it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and simply resume the usual dosing schedule.
