Tenfoclear 300mg Tablet is used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It is also used to treat HIV infection in combination with other anti-HIV medicines. It prevents the multiplication of viruses in human cells. This stops the virus from producing new viruses and clears up your infection.

Chronic hepatitis B virus infection is a serious liver infection that has been there for at least 6 months and is still not cured. Tenfoclear 300mg Tablet helps treat this infection effectively. It lowers the chances of complications, such as new infections, and improves one’s quality of life. If this infection is not treated, it can lead to severe liver damage, which can cause other life-threatening problems, such as liver failure, or may be fatal also.
In Treatment of HIV infection
Tenfoclear 300mg Tablet, when used in combination with other anti-HIV medicines, prevents the HIV virus from multiplying in your body. It helps control the infection and makes your immune system work better. This lowers your chances of getting complications such as new infections and improves your quality of life. This medicine is always taken in combination with other antiretroviral medicines.
It is not a cure of HIV or AIDS and should not be used to prevent HIV after accidental exposure to a risk. It is important that you take this medicine as prescribed, following the dosage recommended by your doctor. Taking all doses in the right amount at the right times greatly increases the effectiveness of your combination of medicines and reduces the chances of your HIV infection becoming resistant to antiretroviral medicines. However, taking this medicine will not prevent you from passing HIV to other people.

Liver

What if you forget to take Tenfoclear Tablet?

In case of HIV-1 infection, Tenfoclear 300mg Tablet may reduce the risk of passing the virus to others, but the chances of infecting others still persist. However, in case of HBV infection, Tenfoclear 300mg Tablet has not proven to reduce risk of transferring the virus to others. Take another tablet of Tenfoclear 300mg Tablet if you vomit within 1 hour of taking it. If you vomit after more than an hour of taking Tenfoclear 300mg Tablet, then you need not take another tablet. Consult your doctor if you have vomiting every time you take Tenfoclear 300mg Tablet or if the vomiting persists for a longer duration.
What should I do if I forget to take Tenfoclear 300mg Tablet?
If you forget to take Tenfoclear 300mg Tablet within 12 hours of the time you usually take it, you should take Tenfoclear 300mg Tablet with food as soon as possible and resume the normal dosing schedule. If you miss a dose of Tenfoclear 300mg Tablet by more than 12 hours and it is almost time for the next dose, you should not take the missed dose and simply resume the usual dosing schedule.
