Introduction of Histaglobulin Injection

Histaglobulin Injection is a combination medicine used to prevent various allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis, eczema, urticaria, and generalized skin allergies. It works by producing protective antibodies (proteins) that neutralize the chemical messengers, which cause allergic reactions.

Histaglobulin Injection is given by your doctor or nurse. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you. You should also tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. Histaglobulin Injection should not be used in acute allergic attack.

Histaglobulin Injection

  • You have been prescribed Histaglobulin Injection for the treatment of a wide variety of allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis, eczema, urticaria, generalised skin allergies, and migraine among others.
  • It may also be used as a preventive measure in children (where there is a family history of allergy) who are about to undergo removal of tonsils.
  • It leads to the progressive decline of allergic symptoms within four weeks from the end of treatment. This may vary from patient to patient and may last several months.
  • Histaglobulin Injection should not be used during an acute allergic attack.

Ive got tested for hiv after 4 months of possible exposure (not sure if partner was +ve and sex was with condom) and results were negative and its been 6 months till date after the possible exposure now i was suffering from blocked nose wnd difficulty in breathing so i went to a chest specialist and was given total ige" test and the report came +ve with very highly elevated ige levels about 2000 ku/l is there anything to worry and is there any relation between total ige levels and hiv im very stressed once again please help."
