Acilex-SR 200mg Tablet is used to treat and prevent symptoms of asthma, bronchitis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (a lung disorder in which flow of air to the lung is blocked). It helps in relaxing the muscles of the air passages, thus widening it and making it easier to breathe.

If you are taking birth control pills, dose of Acilex-SR 200mg Tablet need to be reduced as birth control pills may interfere with clearance of Acilex-SR 200mg Tablet, increasing its levels and chances of side effects.
How should Acilex-SR 200mg Tablet be taken?
Acilex-SR 200mg Tablet should be taken strictly as advised by the doctor. To avoid an upset stomach it should be taken with food.

This effect of Acilex-SR 200mg Tablet works as an added advantage over theophylline. Moreover, it also reduces the need for other medicine used to treat asthma, like salbutamol.
