Acebrophylline is a mucolytic and bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles of the airways and also thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to breathe.

If you are taking birth control pills, dose of Acebrophylline need to be reduced as birth control pills may interfere with clearance of Acebrophylline, increasing its levels and chances of side effects.
