- It should be taken at the same time each day, preferably in the evening after food.

Does birth control pills have any effect on Abrofyl Syrup?
If you are taking birth control pills, dose of Abrofyl Syrup need to be reduced as birth control pills may interfere with clearance of Abrofyl Syrup, increasing its levels and chances of side effects.
How should Abrofyl Syrup be taken?
Abrofyl Syrup should be taken strictly as advised by the doctor. To avoid an upset stomach it should be taken with food.
Is it okay to take furosemide along with Abrofyl Syrup?
One should take proper caution if you are taking furosemide along with Abrofyl Syrup. This is because the combined use of these medicines may decrease the levels of potassium. Hence, regular monitoring of potassium levels is required.
When should Abrofyl Syrup be avoided?
Abrofyl Syrup should be avoided in patients who are allergic to ambroxol, Abrofyl Syrup, or theophylline. Along with that, patients suffering from low blood pressure, irregular heart beats or rhythm or history of heart attack, liver disease or kidney disorder should avoid taking Abrofyl Syrup.
