MRI Spectroscopy identifies various biochemical changes in the tissues. The scan is helpful in the prediction of grade of gliomas, infection, ischemia, infarction, hepatic encephalopathy & several mitochondrial disorders. The test is non invasive and performed using MRI scanner.
What is MRI Spectroscopy used for?
- To diagnose stroke (brain cells death), ischemia (loss of blood supply to organs) brain hammarhage
- To analyze seizures/epilepsy, depression, depression, metabolic disease of muscles
