What is MRI Right Arm With Contrast?
Magnetic Resonance Imagining (MRI) Right Arm with Contrast is used to create pictures of the upper and lower arm. This may include the elbow, wrist, hands, fingers, and the surrounding muscles and other tissues.The contrast helps in increasing the visibility of the internal organs and hence improves the sensitivity and diagnostic accuracy of the MRI scan.
This test is prescribed by the doctor to diagnose any fractured or broken bones of arm and the images obtained from MRI provide a roadmap for surgeons to make repairs to broken bones, and torn ligaments.
What is MRI Right Arm With Contrast used for?
- To diagnose upper limb spasticity (due to nervous breakdown affecting movement of upper arm movement)
- To detect rotator cuff disorder (swelling of the tissues which connects your bones in the shoulder)
- To find out capsulitis (frozen shoulder) and carpal tunnel syndrome (loss of sensation in the arm and hand due to pinched wrist nerve)
- To evaluate tenosynovitis (swelling of area where bone connects with the muscles) of the upper limb) and arthritis of hand joints
