CD23
Understanding CD23
What is CD23?
CD 23 plays a key role in antibody feedback regulation. It's a cell surface protein. CD 23 is present in cells and tissues, and the CD 23 test detects it. It can distinguish between leukemia (blood cancers) and lymphomas (cancer of lymph nodes).
CD 23 deficiency in individuals with CD19/CD5 suggests mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), a more aggressive illness with poor treatment response. It is a sort of dangerous sickness that can reduce a patient's life. Although the negative CD 23 type is uncommon, it can lead to various lymphomas if it does arise. CD 23 expression is a reliable marker for mantle cell leukemia differential diagnosis. CD 23 test diagnoses lymphoproliferative disorders. The acquired data from blood samples is to detect CD 23 negativity in patients indicating Mantle cell lymphoma.
