Sodium Sulphate + Potassium Sulphate + Magnesium Sulphate contains three salts : Sodium Sulphate, Potassium Sulphate, and Magnesium Sulphate. They act as laxatives to prepare the gastrointestinal tract for colonoscopy, an investigation used to detect changes or abnormalities in the large intestine (colon) and rectum. When taken with large volumes of water, these unabsorbed salts cause water to be retained within the gastrointestinal tract. This produces a copious watery diarrhea and clears the tract to carry out the colonoscopy easily.
