How Racecadotril + Ofloxacin + Metronidazole works
Racecadotril + Ofloxacin + Metronidazole is a combination of three medicines: Racecadotril , Ofloxacin and Metronidazole which treat diarrhoea. Racecadotril has an anti-secretory effect. It reduces the secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine which decreases fluid loss during diarrhoea. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Metronidazole is also an antibiotic which kills other microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging the DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

- Racecadotril + Ofloxacin + Metronidazole should be used together with an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to provide adequate fluid and electrolyte replacement.
- Give your child plenty of fluids to replenish water and mineral loss.
- Give your child low-fiber and high-binding foods, such as bananas, rice, and toast.
- Do not give this medicine if your child has persistent uncontrolled vomiting as this medicine will not be absorbed.
- Racecadotril + Ofloxacin + Metronidazole may cause an altered taste. Sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help.
- Do not mix this medicine with any other herbal or ayurvedic medicine.
