Naphazoline is a decongestant that narrows the blood vessels in the eye, thereby reducing redness and swelling. Methylcellulose is a lubricant. It works similar to natural tears and provides temporary relief from burning, also moisten the eyes. Boric Acid has antibiotic properties that kill infection-causing microorganisms. It also relieves eye irritation. Zinc Sulfate has astringent properties, which help to reduce redness and irritability. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic. It blocks the chemical messenger which causes itching and other allergic symptoms.
