Doxycycline + Vitamin C is a combination of two medicines: Doxycycline and Vitamin C. Doxycycline is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is necessary for the growth, development and repair of all body tissues. It is involved in many body functions, including formation of collagen, absorption of iron, the proper functioning of the immune system, wound healing, and the maintenance of cartilage, bones, and teeth.

- This medicine may cause your skin to become more sensitive to sunlight than usual. Try to avoid strong sunlight, wear long sleeves, and use sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) when you are outdoors.
- Inform your doctor if you have a history of asthma or stomach ulcers.
- Doxycycline + Vitamin C may stop the oral typhoid vaccine from working. If you are having any vaccinations, make sure the person treating you knows that you are taking this medicine.
