How Diclofenac diethylamine + Capsaicin Based Rubefacients + Menthol + Camphor works
Diclofenac diethylamine is a form of Diclofenac. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling) on the skin. Capsaicin Based Rubefacients is also a pain reliever. Capsaicin works by desensitizing the nerve endings which reduces pain. Rubefacient increases the blood flow of the affected area to give a warm and soothing feeling. Menthol is a topical analgesic (pain reliever). It works by first cooling the skin then warming it up. This cooling and warming up action interferes with the pain signal transmission through nerves. Camphor belongs to the class of medicines called rubefacients/antitussives. When applied to the skin, camphor increases blood flow and local temperature of the affected area which suppresses and temporarily relieves pain sensations.
