Benzthiazide+Triamterene is used in the treatment of Hypertension (high blood pressure).

How Benzthiazide + Triamterene works

Benzthiazide + Triamterene is a combination of two diuretics: Benzthiazide and Triamterene. They work by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, benzthiazide also relaxes blood vessels but causes potassium loss. Triamterene is added as it conserves potassium, thereby balancing its levels in the body.
