In Treatment of Typhoid fever

Typhoid fever spreads through the intake of contaminated food and water. Children who have typhoid and do not require hospital admission can be well managed with Zimnic-O 100mg/100mg Tablet DT at home because of its excellent activity against organisms that cause typhoid fever.

In Treatment of Bacterial infections

Zimnic-O 100mg/100mg Tablet DT is a combination of two different antibiotics that work together, in different ways, to treat various bacterial infections. Cefixime works by stopping the growth of bacteria and kills them. Ofloxacin prevents multiplication and repair of infection causing bacteria and prevents further spread of the infection.

This combination medicine can be used to treat many different bacterial infections such as ear, sinus, throat, lung, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

Side effects of Zimnic-O 100mg/100mg Tablet DT in children

Zimnic-O 100mg/100mg Tablet DT does not pose serious side effects and is well-tolerated by children. In case the side effects do occur, they’re likely to subside once the body adapts to the medicine. How Zimnic-O Tablet DT works

Zimnic-O 100mg/100mg Tablet DT contains two antibiotics. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) while ofloxacin directly interacts with the genetic material of bacteria. As a consequence, the infection-causing bacteria stop growing further and the spread of the infection is successfully arrested.

Zimnic-O 100mg/100mg Tablet DT is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Zimnic-O 100mg/100mg Tablet DT is recommended.

What if I forget to give Zimnic-O 100mg/100mg Tablet DT to my child?

Unless your child’s doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, you can give the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for the next dose. Do not give the double dose to catch up and follow the prescribed dosing schedule.

  • Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection.
  • Give this medicine with food to avoid an upset stomach.
