Zator 10 Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called diuretics or water tablets. It is used to reduce the swelling (edema) caused by too much water in the body in people who have heart failure, liver disease, or kidney disease. This medicine is also used to treat high blood pressure.

Zator 10 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Driving
UNSAFE
Zator 10 Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Zator 10 Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Zator 10 Tablet is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have any kidney disease as the use of Zator 10 Tablet should be avoided in case you are unable to pass urine or the kidney damage is due to some medicines.
Liver
CAUTION
Zator 10 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Zator 10 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you forget to take Zator Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Zator 10 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Yes, Zator 10 Tablet may raise blood sugar levels causing hyperglycemia. Hence, it is important to keep a track of your blood glucose levels during treatment with Zator 10 Tablet.

What are the side effects of Zator 10 Tablet?

The common side effects of Zator 10 Tablet include headache, dizziness, dehydration, constipation, decreased blood pressure and stomach upset. Some of the serious side effects of Zator 10 Tablet include dehydration and electrolyte imbalance, rapid or excessive weight loss, vomiting blood, chest pain, difficulty breathing or swallowing, blisters or peeling skin, hives, rash, and itching. Consult your doctor immediately if you notice any such symptoms.

Does Zator 10 Tablet increase creatinine?

Yes, Zator 10 Tablet may cause a mild increase in creatinine values depending on the dose you are taking. These increased creatinine levels may increase slightly more when this medicine is used for long term. However, with discontinuation of the treatment, these levels return to their base value.

Does Zator 10 Tablet cause loss of potassium?

Zator 10 Tablet may not cause direct potassium loss. But, in some cases, its use may cause excess loss of water which may lead to dehydration. This, as a result, may cause loss of potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium.

My blood pressure is controlled now. Can I stop taking Zator 10 Tablet?

Do not stop taking Zator 10 Tablet without talking to your doctor. Stopping the medicine may not overshoot your blood pressure levels but may make your condition as it was before treatment. Therefore, discuss this with your doctor who will advise you to change the medicine or the dosage as per your requirement.

How should Zator 10 Tablet be taken?

Take Zator 10 Tablet exactly as advised by your doctor. Generally, it is recommended to take Zator 10 Tablet once daily preferably at the same time each day. Zator 10 Tablet is known to cause excess urination, and hence it is advised to take it in the morning.

Is Zator 10 Tablet stronger than furosemide?

Both Zator 10 Tablet and furosemide are almost similar in terms of safety and effectiveness. The only difference is that Zator 10 Tablet has a longer duration of action in comparison to furosemide but the effect of both starts within an hour of intake.

How long does it take for Zator 10 Tablet to show its effects?

Zator 10 Tablet starts acting within an hour of taking it orally and its effect lasts for about 6-8 hours when given orally.
