Visipred 0.05% Eye Drop belongs to a group of medicines called steroids. It is used in the treatment of post-operative eye pain and inflammation. It is also used to relieve pain and swelling in the eyes caused by infection or allergy.

It is a topical corticosteriods.

Visipred 0.05% Eye Drop helps relieve symptoms such as pain, redness, swelling, itching and watering of eyes after an operation of the eyes. This medicine works by decreasing the production of certain chemicals that cause inflammation of the eyes. This will make it easier for you to go about your daily activities. Use it as prescribed to get the most benefit. If you see no improvement even after a week, talk to your doctor.

How to use Visipred Eye Drop

To reduce the amount of Visipred 0.05% Eye Drop that reaches the breastmilk, place pressure over the corner of the eye for 1 minute or more, then remove the excess solution with an absorbent tissue.

Quick tips

Your doctor has prescribed Visipred 0.05% Eye Drop to treat inflammation and pain associated with eye surgery.
Do not use Visipred 0.05% Eye Drop for more than the prescribed duration as it may cause glaucoma or secondary infection.
If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before putting in these eye drops and wait at least 15 minutes before putting your lenses back in.
Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop.
Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
Stinging sensation may occur for 1-2 mins. Notify your doctor if it persists for longer.
Make sure to use within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
