Introduction of Urofuz D Tablet

Urofuz D 10mg/0.5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines that work in different ways to treat men with an enlarged prostate gland. It helps to relieve symptoms such as difficulty urinating or needing to go to the toilet more often. It is not used to prevent prostate cancer.

Urofuz D 10mg/0.5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Urofuz D 10mg/0.5mg Tablet1 and Urofuz D 10mg/0.5mg Tablet2 which relieve the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia.

When your prostate gland becomes enlarged it can cause urinary problems such as difficulty passing urine and a need to go to the toilet frequently or urgently. It can also cause urine flow to be slower. If not treated, there is a risk that your urine flow will be completely blocked. Urofuz D 10mg/0.5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines that reduces the size of your prostate by blocking the production of a hormone which causes it to grow. Additionally, it relaxes the muscles in the bladder and prostate. Together they can rapidly relieve the symptoms and make it easier for you to urinate. However, it may take up to 6 months to notice the full benefits. Take this medicine exactly as prescribed for maximum benefits.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Use of Urofuz D 10mg/0.5mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

What if you forget to take Urofuz D Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Urofuz D 10mg/0.5mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Urofuz D Tablet

  • You have been prescribed Urofuz D 10mg/0.5mg Tablet to relieve the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
  • Take it approximately 30 minutes after the same meal each day.
  • Urofuz D 10mg/0.5mg Tablet may cause dizziness or blurring of vision. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
  • To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
  • If you are scheduled to undergo an eye surgery due to cataract or glaucoma, inform your eye doctor about the usage of Urofuz D 10mg/0.5mg Tablet.
  • It may cause difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection (impotence), decreased sex drive, and ejaculation disorders such as decreased amount of semen produced or decreased sperm count.
  • Do not donate blood for 6 months after taking the last dose of Urofuz D 10mg/0.5mg Tablet.

No, Urofuz D 10mg/0.5mg Tablet does not shrink the size of the prostate. It belongs to the alpha-blocker class of medicines. It helps in relieving symptoms of an enlarged prostate. It works by relaxing the muscles of the bladder and prostate to allow urine to flow more easily.

Can Urofuz D 10mg/0.5mg Tablet cause erectile dysfunction?

No, Urofuz D 10mg/0.5mg Tablet does not cause erectile dysfunction. On the contrary, it may help in improving any such condition. However, this medicine may cause painful erection (priapism) which does not go away. If priapism is not treated, you may not be able to get an erection in the future.

When should I take Urofuz D 10mg/0.5mg Tablet?

Urofuz D 10mg/0.5mg Tablet should be taken after meals at the same time each day. Do not cut, crush or chew the medicine, but swallow it whole with water.
