Ultigel is a combination of two medicines. It is used to treat mouth ulcers. It has antimicrobial action on the infection-causing bacteria. It helps reduce redness, pain, and swelling in the affected area.
Ultigel is a combination of two medicines: Ultigel1 and Ultigel2 which treat gum problems and mouth ulcers. Ultigel1 is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain which decreases sensation of pain. Ultigel2 is an antiseptic and disinfectant. It works by binding to the surface of teeth, inner cheeks and gums. This kills the infectious microorganisms that cause gum disease, ulcers and other mouth infections.

Ultigel also reduces redness, swelling, promotes healing of the ulcers, and prevents infection. It is advisable to reapply Ultigel after every 3-4 hours for better results.

- Ultigel is used to treat painful mouth ulcers.
- Avoid eating and drinking immediately after applying Ultigel.
- Avoid putting dentures or braces back in the mouth for half an hour after applying the gel in your mouth.
- Use a soft toothbrush after consulting your dentist.
- Avoid spicy foods, acidic fruit drinks and very salty foods (such as crisps) which can make the pain and stinging worse.
- Do not smoke while using Ultigel as it might cause some side effects.
- Consult your doctor if your pain does not improve after using this medication for 7-14 days, or if your symptoms get worse.
