Introduction of Twinrab Injection
Twinrab 600IU Injection is a combination of two medicines given to prevent rabies in people who might have been exposed to the virus. It is always given in combination with a rabies vaccine. It neutralizes the rabies virus, stopping its entry into nerve cells and spreading to the nervous system.
Twinrab 600IU Injection enhances the prevention of rabies infection after exposure, particularly in situations where traditional vaccination might not provide immediate protection. It is usually administered by a doctor or nurse. This should be given as soon as possible after exposure. It neutralizes the rabies virus at the inoculation site before the immune system responds to the vaccine.
This medicine may cause reactions at the site of injections suchs as redness, swelling, and pain. They do not normally last very long and get better with time. Consult your doctor if you experience any other symptoms which you feel is caused by the medicine.
Before receiving the the injection, tell your doctor if you have ever had an allergic reaction to an immunoglobulin. Some other medicines may react with the equine rabies immunoglobulin so talk to your doctor about other medications you are taking as well. To make sure it is safe, pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before receiving this medicine.

How Twinrab Injection works
Rabies is a viral infection caused by the rabies virus, which primarily affects the nervous system. Once the rabies virus enters the body through a bite from an infected animal, it travels along nerve fibers to the central nervous system, including the brain. There, it can cause severe neurological symptoms and, ultimately, death if left untreated. Twinrab 600IU Injection ontains two antibodies: Docaravimab and Miromavimab. These antibodies bind to the rabies virus. By binding to the virus, they prevent it from entering and infecting nerve cells and other cells in the body. This interruption of the virus's ability to replicate and spread within the body is crucial in halting the progression of rabies.
