Tidomet CR Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Levodopa and Carbidopa. This medication is used to treat the symptoms of Parkinson's disease like tremors (shaking), stiffness and slowness of movement. These symptoms are caused due to the lack of dopamine, a natural substance usually found in the brain. Levodopa works by being converted to dopamine in the brain. Carbidopa works by preventing levodopa from being broken down before it reaches the brain. By increasing the amount of dopamine in the brain, Tidomet CR Tablet helps control the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease and helps you to perform daily activities such as dressing, walking, handling utensils, etc.
Can I stop taking Tidomet CR Tablet when my symptoms are relieved?
No, you should continue to take Tidomet CR Tablet, even if you feel well. Do not stop taking Tidomet CR Tablet without talking to your doctor. If you suddenly stop taking Tidomet CR Tablet, you could develop a serious problem causing fever, rigid muscles, unusual body movements and confusion. Consult your doctor if the symptoms are relieved, he might decrease your dose gradually.

Tidomet CR Tablet may make you drowsy or may cause you to suddenly fall asleep during your daily activities.
