SII TD-Vac Vaccine is a prescription medicine having combination of medicines that is used in the prevention of diphtheria and tetanus. It helps in developing immunity. It protects the body against future infections.

SII TD-Vac Vaccine is a combination of two vaccines.

In Tetanus

Tetanus is a serious bacterial infection that affects the nervous system and causes muscles throughout the body to become stiff and tighten. SII TD-Vac Vaccine helps prevent tetanus infection. It helps the immune system to produce antibodies to fight against tetanus infection. However, it does not provide lifelong protection. Children need to get a booster shot at 11 or 12 years of age. Adults need a booster shot every 10 years after that. It is advisable to consult your doctor for complete information regarding vaccination schedules.

In Diphtheria

Diphtheria is a bacterial infection that causes pain and swelling in the throat. This might cause difficulty in breathing. It might also damage the heart, kidneys and nerves. SII TD-Vac Vaccine gives protection against diphtheria. It is recommended to get your child vaccinated against diphtheria starting at 6 weeks through 6 years. It is advisable to consult your doctor for complete information regarding vaccination schedules.

Side effects of SII TD-Vac Injection

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
