Benefits of Ripatec T Eye Drop
In Treatment of Glaucoma
Glaucoma is an eye disease that damages the optic nerve which is essential for proper vision. This damage is often caused by abnormally high pressure in the eye. Ripatec T Eye Drop is used to reduce the swelling and pressure inside the eye. This helps prevent complications of glaucoma such as blindness and improves vision. This medicine may be used alone or with other eye drops. Glaucoma cannot be prevented; however, frequent monitoring and regular checkups can help detect the disease in its early stages.
In Ocular hypertension
Ocular hypertension is a condition where the pressure inside the eye is higher than normal eye pressure due to fluid build-up. Ripatec T Eye Drop increases the flow of fluid from inside the eye into the bloodstream, thereby lowering the increased eye pressure. This prevents further damage or complications such as a change in vision or even loss of vision. Use Ripatec T Eye Drop only in the affected eye and take it regularly as prescribed by your doctor.

How Ripatec T Eye Drop works
Ripatec T Eye Drop is a combination of ripasudil and timolol. Ripasudil has high intraocular permeability and works by reducing intraocular pressure and enhancing flow facility, resulting in a decrease in the elevated fluid pressure in the eyes. Timolol is a beta blocker that works by decreasing the production of aqueous humor (fluid in the eye), thereby lowering the increased eye pressure.

FAQs
What is the right way to use Ripatec T Eye Drop?
Always wash your hands before (and after) using Ripatec T Eye Drop. This prevents you from passing the infection from one eye to the other. Remove the cap just before using your medicine and replace it as soon as you have finished. Avoid touching the nozzle of the bottle with your fingers. Tilt your head back and gently pull down your lower eyelid with a clean finger. Hold the bottle over the eye and allow a single drop to fall into the space between your lower lid and your eye. Close your eye and gently press your finger over the inside corner of the eye (over the eyelid) for about a minute. This helps prevent the drop from draining out of the eye. Repeat in your other eye if your doctor has told you to do this.
How many times should I use Ripatec T Eye Drop in a day?
Ideally, you should use one drop in each eye, two times a day or as prescribed by your doctor.
Does Ripatec T Eye Drop cause blurred vision?
When you instil the eye drops for the first time, it can make your eyes watery and may sometimes also cause blurred vision. If this happens, it will clear quickly. Make sure you can see clearly again before you drive, or use tools or machines.
I am experiencing a headache after starting the treatment with Ripatec T Eye Drop. Is this normal?
Although rare, headache is one of the side effects of Ripatec T Eye Drop. You may ask your doctor to recommend a suitable painkiller. If the headache continues, consult with the doctor.
When should I seek a doctor’s advice?
You should contact your doctor immediately if you develop swelling in the eyelids, eye pain, dry eye(s), foreign body sensation in the eyes, headache, and discharge from the eyes. Also, inform them if you had or have any scheduled eye surgery.
Can I use Ripatec T Eye Drop if I wear contact lenses?
If you usually wear contact lenses, do not wear them while you're using Ripatec T Eye Drop. You can re-insert the lenses 15 minutes after using Ripatec T Eye Drop. Contact your doctor if there is any eye irritation that persists.
