Rifacept 3 Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of tuberculosis. It prevents the growth of the microorganisms that cause the infection. It also protects the nerves from the side effects that may occur during the course of the treatment.
Rifacept 3 Tablet is a combination of mycobacterial fatty acid synthase, mycolic acid inhibitor-INH, RNA polymerase inhibitor-rifamycins, and vitamin B6 (pyridoxine).

However, make sure to complete the full course of treatment. This will ensure that the infection is completely cured and prevent it from returning.

How to use Rifacept 3 Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rifacept 3 Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Avoid Rifacept 3 Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

Consuming alcohol while taking Rifacept 3 Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).

Quick tips
Rifacept 3 Tablet
- Rifacept 3 Tablet must be taken on an empty stomach at the same time every day.
- Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat.
- Discontinue Rifacept 3 Tablet and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
- It is advisable to drink plenty of fluids and a healthy diet while taking the medicine.
