Raxib-TH 4 Tablet is a combination medicine that contains a painkiller as well as a muscle relaxant. It is used to relieve pain, inflammation, and swelling in conditions that affect muscles. Also, it effectively relieves muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving muscle movement. It works by blocking chemical messengers in the brain that tell us we have pain.
Take it as it is prescribed to get the most benefit. Do not take more or for longer than needed as that can be dangerous. In general, you should take the lowest dose that works, for the shortest possible time. This will help you to go about your daily activities more easily and have a better, more active, quality of life.

How to use Raxib-TH Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Raxib-TH 4 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Raxib-TH Tablet works

Raxib-TH 4 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Etoricoxib and Thiocolchicoside, which relieves pain and relaxes the muscles. Etoricoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.

What if you forget to take Raxib-TH Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Raxib-TH 4 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Raxib-TH 4 Tablet, when used for long-term pain relief, should be continued for as long as advised by your physician. It can be discontinued if you are using it for short-term pain relief.

Q. Can the use of Raxib-TH 4 Tablet cause dizziness?

Yes, the use of Raxib-TH 4 Tablet can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded it is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better.

Q. Are there any specific contraindications associated with the use of Raxib-TH 4 Tablet?

The use of Raxib-TH 4 Tablet is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to painkillers (NSAIDS) or any of the components or excipients of this medicine. The use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with a history of stomach ulcers or in patients with active, recurrent stomach ulcer / bleeding It should also be avoided in patients with history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.

Yes, Raxib-TH 4 Tablet can be taken with Vitamin B-complex preparations. While Raxib-TH 4 Tablet helps to relieve pain, Vitamin B-complex can help to correct the vitamin deficiency that might be causing your symptoms.

Q. Can the use of Raxib-TH 4 Tablet cause damage to kidneys?

Yes, the long-term use of Raxib-TH 4 Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protects them from damage. Use of painkillers lowers the levels of prostaglandins in the body leading to kidney damage on long-term use. Use of painkillers is not recommended to patients with underlying kidney disease.

Q. Will Raxib-TH 4 Tablet be more effective if taken in higher doses?

No, taking more of this medicine will not make it more effective, rather it can lead to increased side effects. If the symptoms are getting severe, please consult the doctor for re-evaluation.
