Peridol-OD 3 Tablet is used in the treatment of schizophrenia (a mental disorder that can result in hallucinations or delusions and also adversely affects a person’s ability to think and behave) and mania.
Peridol-OD 3 Tablet is used to treat schizophrenia and Parkinson's disease (a disorder of the nervous system that causes difficulties with movement and balance) in whom other medicines have not worked.

In Schizophrenia
Schizophrenia is a mental disorder in which a person’s thinking ability, feelings and behavior become abnormal. Peridol-OD 3 Tablet helps restore the chemical imbalances in the brain that are responsible for such changes. It improves thoughts, behavior and enhances the quality of life.
In Mania
Mania means extremely excited or elevated mood. Peridol-OD 3 Tablet helps calm the mood and relax the nerves. This stabilises the mood and prevents the symptoms of mania from recurring again. Taking Peridol-OD 3 Tablet will ensure that you have a better social life and are able to do daily activities more comfortably.
Side effects of Peridol Tablet ER
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

How to use Peridol Tablet ER
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Peridol-OD 3 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Peridol-OD 3 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Peridol-OD 3 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
