- Using a clean finger to massage the gel onto the sore area, not more than once every 3 hours.
- Avoid eating and drinking immediately after applying Ora-G Gum Paint.
- Avoid putting dentures or braces back in the mouth for half an hour after applying the gel in your mouth.
- Use a soft toothbrush after consulting your dentist.
- Avoid spicy foods, acidic fruit drinks, and very salty foods (such as crisps) which can make the pain and sting worse.
- Do not smoke while using Ora-G Gum Paint as it might cause some side effects.
- Consult your doctor if your pain does not improve after using this medication for 7-14 days, or if your symptoms get worse.

What are the contraindications associated with the use of Ora-G Gum Paint?
The use of Ora-G Gum Paint should be avoided in children. This medicine contains choline salicylate and the use of salicylates is supposed to cause Reye's syndrome. This syndrome affects the brain and liver, and can be fatal. Avoid the use of Ora-G Gum Paint if you have an allergy to salicylates or Aspirin.
What precautions should be taken while using Ora-G Gum Paint?
Inform your doctor if you are taking Aspirin or any other medicine with an anticoagulant (blood thinning) activity. Ora-G Gum Paint contains salicylates and together, they may increase the risk of bleeding.
