Ofgyl Tablet is a combination medicine that is used to treat diarrhea and dysentery. It prevents the growth of microorganisms to treat the infection.

Ofgyl Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Ofgyl Tablet1 and Ofgyl Tablet2.

In Diarrhea

Diarrhea is an increase in the frequency of bowel movements or loose watery bowel movements. It can most commonly occur due to an infection of the digestive tract. Ofgyl Tablet helps to treat diarrhea that is caused due to bacteria or parasitic worm infections. This medicine can relieve frequent loose motions and also help you to stay well by preventing them from coming back. You need to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it and you should drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated.

In Dysentery

Dysentery or amoebic dysentery is a parasitic infection of the intestines that occurs mostly due to intake of contaminated food or water. The symptoms include loose stools (diarrhea), stomach cramps and stomach pain. Ofgyl Tablet helps to treat this infection by killing the infection causing parasites. It relieves these symptoms and also helps you to stay well by preventing them from coming back. You need to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it and you should drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated.

What if you forget to take Ofgyl Tablet?

No, do not stop taking Ofgyl Tablet and complete the full course of treatment even if you are feeling better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.

What if I miss my dose?

Take Ofgyl Tablet as soon as you remember it. However, do not take it if it's almost time for your next dose. Also, do not take an extra dose to make up for your missed dose.

For how long should you take Ofgyl Tablet?

It is usually taken with or without food, twice a day, for 3 days to 6 weeks. The length of treatment depends on the type of infection being treated. Always consult the doctor before taking the medicine.

Can a person drive while taking Ofgyl Tablet?

No, taking Ofgyl Tablet may make you feel sleepy, dizzy and may lead to visual disturbances. So, do not drive or use machines while you are on this medicine.
