Noxagyl DL Suspension is a combination medicine that is used to treat diarrhea and dysentery. It prevents the growth of microorganisms to treat bacterial infections.

Noxagyl DL Suspension is a combination of three medicines: Noxagyl DL Suspension1, Noxagyl DL Suspension2, and Noxagyl DL Suspension3.

In Treatment of Diarrhea

Diarrhea is a condition in which you frequently pass loose, watery stools. Noxagyl DL Suspension helps treat diarrhea by killing the bacteria causing infections as well as prevents them from multiplying. Noxagyl DL Suspension makes the stool less watery as well as reduces the frequency of loose motions. It also restores the level of good bacteria in your stomach and thus prevents stomach upset due to the antibiotics. This helps you to stay well and do your daily activities without any problem. Since diarrhea causes loss of fluid from the body, drink plenty of fluids to make sure you stay hydrated.

In Treatment of Dysentery

Dysentery is a bacterial or parasitic infection in which you pass loose and watery stools with blood and mucus. You may have severe stomach cramps, nausea, and vomiting. Noxagyl DL Suspension works by stopping the growth of bacteria and parasites causing infection. It relieves these symptoms and also helps you to stay well by preventing them from coming back. In order to prevent the spread of infection, it is advisable to always wash your hands after using the toilet.

What if you forget to take Noxagyl DL Suspension?

If you miss a dose of Noxagyl DL Suspension, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

  • Diarrhea can cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids to help rehydrate you. Consult your doctor if your diarrhea lasts for more than 48 hours.
  • Do not use Noxagyl DL Suspension if you have blood in your stool or if you are severely constipated.
  • It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you.
  • Avoid consuming alcohol when taking this medicine as it may irritate your stomach and also cause excessive drowsiness.
