Introduction of No-Cough Syrup

No-Cough Syrup is a combination medicine used in the treatment of cough. It thins mucus in the nose, windpipe, and lungs making it easier to cough out. It also relaxes the muscles in your airway. Together, they make breathing easier.

No-Cough Syrup is a combination of two medicines: No-Cough Syrup1 and No-Cough Syrup2.

It usually starts to work within a few minutes and the effects can last up to several hours.

Take it as prescribed by the doctor. Do not stop using it unless you are advised to by your doctor. Taking this medicine enables you to live your life more freely without worrying so much about things that set off your symptoms.

What is No-Cough Syrup?

No-Cough Syrup is a combination of Ambroxol and Salbutamol / Albuterol which relieve cough. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Salbutamol is a bronchodilator which widens the airways by relaxing its muscles. Together, they make breathing easier.

Is it safe to use No-Cough Syrup?

Yes, No-Cough Syrup is safe to you in most of the patients. However, in some patients it may cause some unwanted side effects like tremor, headache, insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), palpitations, dizziness, nervousness, muscle cramp, increased heart rate. Inform your doctor as soon as possible if you experience any problem due to the medication.

Can No-Cough Syrup cause headaches and shakiness?

Yes, you may experience headache and shakiness with the use of No-Cough Syrup. No-Cough Syrup is a combination of ambroxol and salbutamol. Salbutamol may cause these side effects. For headaches, drink plenty of water, get sufficient rest and avoid alcohol. Usually headaches go away after a week. If they persist for a long time, contact your doctor. Feeling shaky is a common side effect of No-Cough Syrup and goes away after sometime.

What are the instructions for storage and disposal of No-Cough Syrup?

Keep this medicine in the container or the pack it came in. The pack should be tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
