Mebaspa AL Tablet is used to treat irritable bowel syndrome (symptoms include abdominal pain, cramping, bloating, and diarrhea or constipation). It prevents the sudden spasm of muscles to relieve stomach pain and cramps. It also promotes easy passage of gas to reduce stomach discomfort.
Mebaspa AL Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Mebaspa AL Tablet1 and Mebaspa AL Tablet2.

Irritable bowel syndrome is a chronic (long-term) inflammatory disease of the large intestine (colon) that usually needs long term management. This can lead to bleeding, frequent diarrhea, bloating, flatulence, cramps and stomach pain. Mebaspa AL Tablet relaxes the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine) and relieves these symptoms effectively. It also relieves excessive acidity in your stomach which prevents heartburn and indigestion. Usually, it is used along with other medicines for management of your condition.
Continue taking it for as long as the doctor may advise you to. You need to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it. Take a fiber-rich diet, avoid oily or spicy food and drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated.

What if you forget to take Mebaspa AL Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Mebaspa AL Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Mebaspa AL Tablet
- You have been prescribed Mebaspa AL Tablet for the treatment of pain and other discomfort associated with irritable bowel syndrome.
- Do not take Mebaspa AL Tablet at least 2 hours before or after taking other medicines as it may interact with other medicines.
- Inform your doctor if you have an enlarged prostate gland, glaucoma, or trouble passing urine.
- To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
- Keep sipping water or have sugar-free gum in order to relieve dryness in the mouth.
- Drink 6 to 8 full glasses of water daily to help prevent constipation while you are taking this medicine. Do not use a stool softener (laxative) without first asking your doctor.
