In multidrug-resistant (MDR) tuberculosis, the causative bacteria produce an enzyme that makes the antibiotics ineffective. Lexilid DS Dry Syrup is effective in treating MDR tuberculosis and Extensively Drug-resistant tuberculosis (XDR-TB). Overdose may cause unwanted side effects such as low blood count, nerve damage, or loss of vision.
