What is Kitto Shampoo? What is it used for?
Kitto Shampoo is an antifungal medication used to control scaling, flaking and itching caused by dandruff. Dandruff is caused by excessive growth of Pityrosporum orbiculare (Malassezia furfur), which is part of normal skin flora. It is also used to treat irregular white or brown patches which occur on the body and sometimes appear after being in the sun (tinea/pityriasis versicolor). Regular application of Kitto Shampoo on the scalp relieves itching and discomfort in people suffering from dandruff.
How often should I use Kitto Shampoo?
If you are using it to treat dandruff, you should use it only twice weekly and if you are using it to prevent dandruff, then use it once weekly. Do not use Kitto Shampoo more often than directed.
How should I apply Kitto Shampoo?
You should first wash your hair or affected area thoroughly with water. Then apply a small amount of Kitto Shampoo on the scalp. Massage properly to form lather. Leave it for 3-5 minutes, then thoroughly rinse with water. If you have long and thick hair, you can wash with your usual shampoo first and then use Kitto Shampoo.
Can Kitto Shampoo be used in kids?
