Is it safe to take Jointguard D 50 mg/500 mg Tablet if I have diabetes?

Some early researches suggest that the presence of glucosamine in this drug might worsen insulin resistance which can lead to an increase in blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. So, it is important that you inform your doctor if have diabetes. But now, according to recent studies it has been seen that even though glucosamine is a type of sugar, it does not appear to affect blood sugar levels or insulin sensitivity. However, it is advised to consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

How long will Jointguard D 50 mg/500 mg Tablet take to show an effect?

You may need to take Jointguard D 50 mg/500 mg Tablet for four to six weeks before you notice any improvement. If your symptoms do not improve by that time, then it is advisable for you to talk to your doctor about other ways of managing your arthritis.
