Imol Plus Tablet is a pain-relieving medicine. It is used to reduce pain and inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis. It may also be used to relieve muscle pain, back pain, toothache, or pain in the ear and throat.

Imol Plus Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Imol Plus Tablet1, Imol Plus Tablet2, and Imol Plus Tablet3.

Imol Plus Tablet is a combination of medicines used to treat aches and pains. It blocks chemical messengers in the brain that tell us we have pain. It is effective in relieving pain caused by headache, migraine, nerve pain, toothache, sore throat, period (menstrual) pains, arthritis and muscle aches.
Take it as it is prescribed to get the most benefit. Do not take more or for longer than needed as that can be dangerous. In general, you should take the lowest dose that works, for the shortest possible time.

Use of Imol Plus Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Long term use of this medicine can affect the kidney function.
Liver
CAUTION
Imol Plus Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Imol Plus Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
However, the use of Imol Plus Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.

What if you forget to take Imol Plus Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Imol Plus Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

I experience headache due to migraine quite frequently for the last many years. On certain occasions it lasts for more than 24 hrs. I usually take IMOL, painkiller to get relief. Of late, consulted one doctor and he told that it has become acute. As advised by him, I took headset tablet but I had stomach upset when I took it. I tried granil tablet also but of no use. Kindly advise which tablet I should take for acute migraine

Q. What is Imol Plus Tablet?

Imol Plus Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Ibuprofen, Paracetamol and caffeine. This medication helps to relieve pain and fever. It works by lowering the chemical substance in the body which causes pain, fever and inflammation. The presence of Caffeine increases the effectiveness of Paracetamol.

Q. Can Imol Plus Tablet be stopped when the pain is relieved?

Imol Plus Tablet is usually used for a short term and can be discontinued when symptoms are relieved. However, Imol Plus Tablet should be continued if the doctor has advised to do so.

Q. Can the use of Imol Plus Tablet cause nausea and vomiting?

Yes, the use of Imol Plus Tablet can cause nausea and vomiting. Taking it with milk, food or with antacids can prevent nausea. Avoid taking fatty or fried foods along with this medication. If you start to experience vomiting, drink plenty of water or other fluids by taking small frequent sips. Talk to your doctor if vomiting persists and you notice signs of dehydration, like dark colored and strong-smelling urine and a low frequency of urination. Do not take any other medicine without speaking to your doctor.

Yes, the use of Imol Plus Tablet can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, it is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better.

The use of Imol Plus Tablet is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to painkillers (NSAIDs) or any of the components or excipients of this medicine. The use of this medication should preferably be avoided in patients having a history of stomach ulcers or in patients who have active, recurrent stomach ulcer / bleeding. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of heart failure, high blood pressure or any underlying liver or kidney disease.

Yes, Imol Plus Tablet can cause insomnia. Take Imol Plus Tablet in the morning or afternoon to avoid insomnia. Consult the doctor if you are having persistent sleeping problem or insomnia (inability to sleep) while taking this medicine.

Q. Can the use of Imol Plus Tablet cause damage to kidneys?

Yes, the long-term use of Imol Plus Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protects them from damage. Use of painkillers lower the levels of prostaglandins in the body which leads to kidney damage on long-term use. Use of painkillers is not recommended in patients with underlying kidney disease.

No, taking more of this medicine will not make it more effective, rather it can lead to increased side effects. If the symptoms are getting severe despite taking the medicine, please consult the doctor for re-evaluation.
