Introduction of Eslo-D Tablet

Eslo-D Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It also helps to reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack.

Eslo-D Tablet is a combination of an antihypertensive and a diuretic medicine

Benefits of Eslo-D Tablet

In Hypertension (high blood pressure)

Eslo-D Tablet relaxes the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily around your body. It also eliminates excess water from the body and increases urine output. This maintains balance of electrolytes (like potassium), lowers your blood pressure and reduces your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, or kidney problems in the future. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective, even if you feel better.

Side effects of Eslo-D Tablet

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

How to use Eslo-D Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Eslo-D Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Kidney
CAUTION
Eslo-D Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Eslo-D Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Eslo-D Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Eslo-D Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Eslo-D Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you forget to take Eslo-D Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Eslo-D Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

  • It may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and Inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, muscle weakness or very dry mouth.
  • Your doctor may regularly monitor your blood pressure, kidney function and the levels of salts such as potassium in your blood while you are taking this medicine.

Can I stop taking Eslo-D Tablet if my blood pressure is under control?

No, you should keep taking Eslo-D Tablet for as long as your doctor has recommended you to take it. You may need to take it lifelong. Do not stop taking it, even if you feel well or your blood pressure is well controlled since your blood pressure may increase again and your condition may worsen.

Can I take other supplements for controlling my blood pressure along with Eslo-D Tablet?

No, you should not take other supplements for controlling blood pressure along with this medicine. Always consult your doctor before taking any other medicine, supplement, or herbals while you are on this medicine.

I am experiencing nausea after starting treatment with Eslo-D Tablet. What shall I do?

Nausea is one of the common side effects of this medicine. If you feel really sick, consult your doctor who may reduce the dosage or discontinue the medicine based on the severity of your condition. Do not stop taking the medicine without consulting your doctor. Also, eat smaller, more frequent meals to reduce the feeling of nausea. Avoid food that is salty, spicy, fried, or fatty.
