Diarrhea refers to the passing of loose, watery stools three or more times a day due to an infection in the gastrointestinal tract. It may also occur as a result of prolonged intake of antibiotics (Antibiotic-induced diarrhea). Enuff Extra Sachet reduces the excessive secretion of water and electrolytes and helps replenish the lost fluids and salts. It also helps treat loose stools and prevents abdominal distension or flatulence. The presence of probiotics in Enuff Extra Sachet helps to replenish the gut flora (good bacteria) and renders relief.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Empty the granules in a glass of water/milk, stir it and consume immediately. Enuff Extra Sachet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Enuff Extra Granules works
Enuff Extra Sachet contains three active ingredients: Racecadotril, Saccharomyces boulardii, and Lactobacillus. Racecadotril has an anti-secretory effect. It reduces the secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine. This helps to replenish the fluids lost from the body due to diarrhea. Saccharomyces boulardii and Lactobacillus are probiotics. Both of them promote the growth of good bacteria in the gut, improving gut health and preventing intestinal infection.

- Enuff Extra Sachet should be used together with an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to provide adequate fluid and electrolyte replacement.
- Give your child plenty of fluids to replenish water and mineral loss.
- Do not use Enuff Extra Sachet, if your child has blood and pus in the stools or fever. This may be due to bacterial infection and may need different treatment.
- Enuff Extra Sachet is not recommended to be taken more than 7 days unless advised otherwise.
- Do not mix Enuff Extra Sachet along with any other herbal or ayurvedic medicine as it can harm.

Q. How long does Enuff Extra Sachet take to work?
Treatment with Enuff Extra Sachet should be continued until two normal stools are passed. However, if diarrhea does not get better after seven days of treatment you must talk to the doctor. Make sure neither to extend nor to stop the treatment by yourself without consulting your child’s doctor. Doing so may have side effects or may lead to a recurrence of symptoms.
Q. My child is one year old and is suffering from a neurological disorder. Is it safe to give Enuff Extra Sachet?
Usually, Enuff Extra Sachet does not enter into the central nervous system and lacks the potential to cause serious side effects such as neurotoxicity. But, since children below the age of 2 have underdeveloped membranes, there could be a chance of the medicine entering the brain and causing side effects. So, consult your child’s doctor before giving Enuff Extra Sachet in such a condition.
Q. My child is passing watery stools mixed with blood and is also suffering from fever. Is Enuff Extra Sachet the right choice of treatment?
No, do not give Enuff Extra Sachet if your child is passing stools mixed with blood or pus along with having a high body temperature (fever). These symptoms are indicative of some underlying pathology (infection) and may require some other line of treatment.
Q. My child is suffering from long-term (chronic) diarrhea. Can I give Enuff Extra Sachet?
The use of Enuff Extra Sachet in chronic diarrhea has not been sufficiently studied. Therefore, it is best to consult your child’s doctor before giving this medicine to your child for long-term diarrhea.
Q. What other medicines should my child avoid while taking Enuff Extra Sachet?
Although Enuff Extra Sachet is not known to cause any interaction with other medicines, you should inform the doctor if your child is taking any medicine. It is best to narrate the complete medical history of your child as this will help the doctor understand your child’s needs better.
