Dromox-DM Eye Drop
Prescription Required
Product introduction
Dromox-DM Eye Drop is a medicine used to treat bacterial eye infections. It works by stopping the growth of microorganisms and killing the existing ones that cause the infection. It also lubricates the eyes and blocks the production of certain chemicals that make the affected area red, swollen, and itchy.
Dromox-DM Eye Drop is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Use it regularly at evenly spaced time intervals as prescribed by your doctor. You should not discontinue using the medicine unless your doctor tells you so. Stopping the medication before time may allow the bacteria to continue their growth, which may result in the return of the infection. Avoid using contact lenses while on treatment with this medicine.
It is effective in killing many types of bacteria. However, it will not work for other types of eye infections (e.g., viral) and, therefore, should only be used if prescribed by your doctor. Unnecessary use of any antibiotic can lead to a decrease in its effectiveness in the future.
Some people may experience local reactions such as burning, irritation, itching, and redness immediately after application. However, these are usually temporary and resolve with time. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or if your condition worsens. It may cause some short-term blurring of vision. Do not drive immediately after administering this medicine in the eye. Let your doctor know if you are using any other medicines for the treatment of the same condition.

Quick tips
- Your doctor has prescribed Dromox-DM Eye Drop to cure your eye infection and improve your symptoms.
- Use it twice a day (in the morning and the evening). If your symptoms are particularly severe, your doctor may suggest you use them up to four times a day.
- To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. If it does, squeeze out two or three drops straightaway onto some tissue and rinse the tip with saltwater.
- Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the medication. This will prevent the medication from draining out. Try not to blink or rub your eye.
- Do not wear contact lenses until your infection clears up.
- Eye infections can cause your eyes to become more sensitive to sunlight than usual. Wearing sunglasses may help to prevent this.
- Along with using Dromox-DM Eye Drop, give a warm compress to your eyes to get relief from itching and burning sensation.
- Take care to avoid spreading the infection from one eye to the other, and to other members of your family. Washing your hands regularly (particularly after touching your eyes) and not sharing towels or pillows will help to prevent the infection from spreading.
