Dilomet Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of diarrhea. It kills diarrhea-causing bacteria. It also manages the symptoms of diarrhea such as stomach pain, cramps, loose stools and helps in easy passage of gas.

In Diarrhea

What if you forget to take Dilomet Tablet?

Dilomet Tablet
- You have been prescribed Dilomet Tablet for the treatment of diarrhea.
- Diarrhea can cause water loss and electrolyte imbalance. Drink plenty of fluids especially ORS (oral rehydration solution) to help keep you hydrated.
- Stick to simple meals and avoid spicy rich food in order to avoid feeling sick (nausea).
- Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help.
- Do not drink alcohol while taking and till 4 days after taking this medication. This is because drinking alcohol with Dilomet Tablet is likely to make you feel very sick (nauseated) and cause other unpleasant effects, such as hot flushes, headaches, and palpitations (fast heartbeat).
- Consult your doctor if your diarrhea lasts for more than 48 hours.

Q. What if I miss my dose?
Take Dilomet Tablet as soon as you remember it. However, do not take it if it's almost time for your next dose. Also, do not take an extra dose to make up for your missed dose.
Q. Can I stop taking Dilomet Tablet when I feel better?
No, do not stop taking Dilomet Tablet and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.
Q. What if I don't get better after using Dilomet Tablet?
Inform your doctor if you don't feel better after finishing the full course of treatment. Also, inform him if your symptoms are getting worse while using this medicine.
