Product introduction

Comcapsy 400mg/20mg Tablet is used in the treatment of breast cancer. It may also be used to treat other conditions, as determined by the doctor. It is used alone or in combination with other medications as a part of chemotherapy.

Comcapsy 400mg/20mg Tablet is used to treat severe forms of a skin disease (psoriasis) and to treat several disorders of joint disorders leading to painful swelling and redness of the joints.

Comcapsy 400mg/20mg Tablet helps treat breast cancer, and it may be used alone or in combination with other medicines or treatment modalities, like chemotherapy. It relieves the symptoms of breast cancer, such as breast lumps, bloody discharge from nipples, or changes in the shape or texture of the breasts. It kills or stops the growth of cancer cells and also prevents their multiplication. Discuss with your doctor if any of the side effects bother you.

How Comcapsy Tablet works

Comcapsy 400mg/20mg Tablet is a combination of two anticancer medicines. Capecitabine interferes with the production of DNA. It stops cell growth and multiplication, resulting in the slowing or stopping of cancer growth. Cyclophosphamide damages the DNA of cancer cells and prevents their growth. Cancer cells divide faster and with less error-correcting than normal cells, making the cancer cells more prone to this damage.

You will be advised to get blood tests done before and during your treatment to check the level of blood cells. You might also be prescribed tests to assess how well your liver and kidneys are working.

I am experiencing nausea and extreme tiredness. Is this due to Comcapsy 400mg/20mg Tablet?

Nausea and fatigue or tiredness are some of the common side effects of this medicine. Eat smaller, more frequent meals to reduce the feeling of nausea. Avoid food that is salty, spicy, fried, or fatty. Take plenty of rest and do light exercise daily to keep yourself active and reduce fatigue.

Should I avoid any food and drinks while taking Comcapsy 400mg/20mg Tablet?

You can continue with your normal diet unless your doctor tells you otherwise. However, it is advisable to sip water regularly to prevent dehydration, eat small, simple but nourishing snacks every few hours rather than large meals, and suck on hard candy or popsicles to prevent nausea and vomiting.

I have noticed some changes in my skin after taking Comcapsy 400mg/20mg Tablet? What should I do?

Use a moisturizer to get relief from rashes and dry and itchy skin. Avoid direct sunlight, wear protective clothing, and use sunscreen (SPF of more than 15) whenever you step outdoors. Do not go swimming if you have a rash because the chlorine in the water can worsen it. Avoid hot water baths and wear loose and cotton fabric clothes. Your skin will tend to become better once treatment is stopped.
