Cnof RT Syrup

Your child’s medicine at a glance

Cnof RT Syrup is usually given to children to treat acute diarrhea caused due to bacterial infections. It helps relieve the symptoms, severity, and duration of illness by killing the diarrhea-causing microorganism and reducing the loss of water and electrolytes.

Cnof RT Syrup is a combination of enkephalinase inhibitor and fluroquinolone medicines.

Benefits of Cnof RT Syrup for your child

In Treatment of Diarrhea

Diarrhea refers to the passing of loose, watery stools three or more times a day due to an infection in the gastrointestinal tract. Cnof RT Syrup reduces the excessive secretion of water and electrolytes and helps replenish the lost fluids and salts. It also helps treat loose stools and prevents abdominal distension or flatulence. Your child needs to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it and drink plenty of fluids while taking it to stay hydrated.

Your child may start to feel better after getting treated for a few days to a week. However, do not extend the course or stop the medicine by yourself without consulting your child’s doctor. This may lead to the recurrence of symptoms.

How Cnof RT Syrup works

Cnof RT Syrup contains two medicines: Racecadotril and ofloxacin. Racecadotril is an enkephalinase inhibitor that has anti-secretory effects. This means that this medicine reduces the secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine. As a result, the amount of fluid lost from the body in diarrhea reduces. On the other hand, Ofloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and causing infection.
