Chiromet Tablet SR is a combination of medicines used in the treatment of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). It regulates ovulation and menstrual cycles (periods) in PCOS. It enhances the body's response to insulin, and maintains hormonal balance. This improves your overall health.

Chiromet Tablet SR is a combination of five medicines: Chiromet Tablet SR1, Chiromet Tablet SR2, Chiromet Tablet SR3, Chiromet Tablet SR4 and Chiromet Tablet SR5 which treat skin infections.

In Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)

Women with Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) have hormonal imbalance that is responsible for irregular menstrual cycles (periods), excessive hair growth and acne. Chiromet Tablet SR is a combination medicine that helps in regulating hormonal imbalance as well as periods in females. It helps the body to utilise the hormone insulin and also regulates menstrual cycles. Take it as prescribed by the doctor. Do not skip any doses and follow your doctor’s instructions carefully to get maximum benefit.

Side effects of Chiromet Tablet SR

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Driving

It is not known whether Chiromet Tablet SR alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney
CAUTION
Chiromet Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Chiromet Tablet SR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Chiromet Tablet SR is, however, not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Regular monitoring of kidney function test is advisable while you are taking this medicine.
Liver
CAUTION
Chiromet Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Chiromet Tablet SR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Chiromet Tablet SR is generally started with low dose in patients with mild to moderate liver disease and its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

What if you forget to take Chiromet Tablet SR?

If you miss a dose of Chiromet Tablet SR, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
