Bactrim Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Sulfamethoxazole+Trimethoprim. It is an antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial infections and works by stopping the growth of the bacteria causing the infection. It treats urinary tract infections, ear infections, enteritis (inflammation of the small intestine), pneumonia, traveler's diarrhea, and episodes of difficulty breathing in people with chronic (long-term) bronchitis.

Yes, Bactrim Syrup is safe to use in most patients. However, in some patients, it may cause some unwanted common side effects like Nausea, Vomiting, Skin rash, Allergic reaction. Inform your doctor as soon as possible if you experience any persistent problem while taking this medication.
Can the use of Bactrim Syrup cause nausea and vomiting?
Yes, the use of Bactrim Syrup can cause nausea and vomiting. In case, you experience nausea while taking this medicine, take it with milk, food or with antacids. Avoid taking fatty or fried foods.
