Azofed Injection is an antibiotic used to prevent or treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. This may include infections of the urinary tract, blood, brain, ear, skin, and soft tissue, abdomen, bone, windpipe and lungs.

Azofed Injection works by killing bacteria which can cause serious infections. It is used to treat many different types of bacterial infections such as infections of lungs (pneumonia), blood, brain, ear, skin, and soft tissue, abdomen, bone, windpipe and urinary tract. It is given by a doctor or nurse into a vein and should not be self-administered. Azofed Injection usually makes you feel better very quickly but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Azofed Injection is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.

Kidney
CAUTION
Azofed Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Azofed Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver
